All my life I have been an extreme introvert. I would get mad at myself because I could rarely join in the conversations around me. My mind was always in listening and observation mode. When it was appropriate for me to jump in and say something, no words would come to mind.
Up until recently I thought this was my greatest downfall. What I didn’t realize was that it allowed me to experience the world in a different way than many others. I was able to observe the people and environment around me objectively and clearly. Because of this I have an understanding and compassion for other.
What I thought was a huge weakness turned out to be what shaped me into who I am today and I am proud of that.
Become aware of what you think your weaknesses are and reevaluate them. Look at them from an expanded point of view. You might be surprised to find out that they are your greatest strengths.
